Below you will find a lot of useful information concerning many aspects of school life. If you are unsure about our policies or the answer is not below please ask your teacher.
The Routine - School hours
Morning Session 09:00 -12:00 Reception and KS1 09:00 -12:10 KS 2 (Years 3+4)
Afternoon Session 13:00-15:00 All
Morning Break 10:30-10:45 All
Your child may go into class from 8:45 and the register is taken at 8:55. Registers close at 9:00.
Attendance is a high priority and we celebrate good attendance.
School Meals
A 4 week menu is available from reception or our Cook, Eileen. Dinners cost £1.70 per day and payment should be made at Reception for the week. (You can choose which days you wish your child to have dinners).
Fruit
The school participates in the Free Fruit for Schools Scheme which entitles children to a piece of fruit at break time.
Drinks
Free fresh cool filtered water is available.
Lunch boxes
Children may bring their own packed lunch and we ask for it to contain fresh fruit or veg sticks and sensible drinks in Non-breakable container.
We ask that children should not bring sweets, chocolate, fizzy drinks or 'junk' food into school.
Due to some of our children having severe nut allergies we ask that any products containing nuts do not come into school.

Absence
If your child is unwell or absent for any other reason please contact the school by telephone or in writing on the First day of absence to meet legal requirements. If you are unsure if your child should come to school please phone for advice.
It is essential if you are planning a holiday during term time that you ask for a holiday form in advance.
Collecting your child
At the end of the day children are in the school hall and parents and carers are invited to come and collect them.
Medicines
If your child needs medicine whilst in school you will need to complete a medical form available from the school office.

Neither the school nor the Local Education Authority can accept responsibility for personal belongings brought to or left at school.
Children are not allowed to bring rings, knives, jewelry etc, which might be dangerous to others or themselves.
